Hey everyone, the time has come to say goodbye to this semester and course. I would first like to give a shoutout to Joanna for an amazing course. She is a very inspiring teacher and I think I speak for the whole class when I say that we all hope to be half as good a teacher as she is. I want to talk a little bit about my free inquiry journey as well. Taking on ASL was a very bold move for me. I often thought about how it would have been much easier to pick something that I already was doing (like reading or cooking) but am so glad that I chose what I chose. Firstly, I think that if I chose something easier for me, I would have gotten bored and been less engaged with the project as a whole. Secondly, my skills have gotten so much better throughout the semester and even now I feel confident enough to bring the skills into the classroom. Overall, I’ve had a really great time in this course and loved how open it was with communication and honesty. Thanks again to Joanna and to my fellow teachers in training!
